Journey to the West: The Blade-and-Shield Dog Who Cleaves Through the Three Realms

The Sword-and-Shield Hound left Flower-Fruit Mountain, mounted the Somersault Cloud, and sped westward, passing through clouds and mist along the way. At that moment, spiritual energy surged through his body like a mighty river. The spirit stone he had swallowed had become an everlasting rising sun in his dantian, tempering his meridians with every passing moment. He soared into the highest heavens and looked back. The immortal mountain beside the Eastern Sea was gradually disappearing beneath layers of mist. Guanyin's sweet dew was nourishing all living things. He silently vowed, “Brother Monkey, I've left you a way back home. As for the road ahead, I'll brave it with you!”
