Synopsis

I woke up as the White Horse from Journey to the West, the original mount who doesn't even survive three episodes and is about to be chewed up like a spicy strip by the young White Dragon. Fortunately, the [Myriad Heavens Gourmet Evolution System] came just in time. I get stronger by devouring things? Demon flesh and blood are all experience points? Wait, something's wrong with this Journey to the West. The closer we get to Spirit Mountain, the more demons there are, and the worse off the people become. So the incense offered to all the gods and Buddhas in Heaven is fueled by human suffering? So this “villainous white horse” munches away on demons while whispering in Tang Sanzang's ear: “Master, could the true Dharma be about teaching people to stand up, instead of kneel?” Sun Wukong swings his staff and shouts for a fight, while Zhu Bajie secretly hands me a roasted rabbit leg. And Tang Sanzang? At first, he recites scriptures and urges us to do good. But later... later, he quietly asks me, “Wuse, could you save a bite of that tiger kidney for your master?” Our pilgrimage team is getting more and more bizarre. Until one day, the Tathagata looks at the empty cafeteria on Spirit Mountain and finally panics. “That white horse... what has it done to Journey to the West?!”

I Want Pure Journey to the West, Not Primordial Chaos

Are there any straightforward Journey to the West stories? I want mythology, not a sequel to the Primordial World. Ideally, the protagonist should be original, and Tang Sanzang should be decisive and ruthless, cultivating his own Buddhism rather than becoming one of those bald Western monks.
