My God's-Eye View at No. 76

Li Zixuan wakes up to find that his soul has transmigrated into the body of the deputy director of the Wang Jingwei regime's No. 76 Special Agents Headquarters. He only wanted to coast along as a bureaucrat, but his composure crumbles on his very first day at work. The operations chief is actually Zheng Yaoxian from Kite, the communications office is staffed by Yu Zecheng from Lurk, and the chief financial adviser to the Wang regime's Economic Bureau, who treats him with icy disdain, looks exactly like Ming Lou from The Disguiser.

What makes matters even worse is that these three are all “die-hard traitors” on the surface, but in reality they are three top-tier Communist agents who know nothing about one another.

To avoid being eliminated as a genuine traitor by these three “comrades,” and to keep Ding Mocun and the Japanese Special Higher Police from spotting any flaws, Li Zixuan begins his chaotic career as deputy director.

When Zheng Yaoxian is sent on a “certain-death” mission, Li “happens” to provide him with the wrong map. When Yu Zecheng's radio is about to be exposed, Li “accidentally” sends the search team on a wild-goose chase. When Ming Lou comes under suspicion from all sides, Li “has a sudden inspiration” and shifts the blame onto Ding Mocun's trusted aide.

The three top agents gradually realize that this new deputy director seems to be doing extremely professional work in an extremely unprofessional way. In his heart, Li cries out: “This dump called No. 76 is practically a den of spies.”
