It took half a month to finally read it all. The author uses history as his bones and literature as his veins to describe the power struggles and the rise and fall of dynasties in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms in a heart-stirring way. The textual research is solid and not obscure, the narrative is smooth and tense, and the lines of time and characters are interspersed relatively clearly. It is an excellent book for understanding this troubled time.
The description is smooth and delicate, the characters are prominent, and the combination of historical facts and literature makes it a very readable and enduring work.
Rich content, compact rhythm and clear structure

"History of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms" is written in an easy-to-understand and clear context. It clearly sorts out the complicated regime changes and the ups and downs of the characters in the troubled times. The historical materials are solid and not obscure. It is a hearty read and you can easily understand this chaotic century-old history. It is well worth reading!
This is my first time reading a historical novel, I didn't expect it! It looks really good!
This novel is written in an interlocking manner and respects history. Rarely good writing.
Real and objective, multi-dimensional description, clear structure and substantial content. A very good book.
The description is vivid and concrete, depicting the mentality of people in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period that if you have soldiers, you are the emperor.
Which period of history does it truly and objectively reflect? It is not easy to write. The characters and wars in each period are described in great detail. Before, I had a vague concept of which period of history, but now it is completely clear. Thank you to the author for dedicating a detailed historical novel. You can read it again when you have time later.
