The Mute Auntie’s Soul-Stitching Needles

The story follows Chang Xian, a deaf and mute Yi woman. At the age of seven, a strange high fever robbed her of her voice but gave her the special ability to “see the obsessions of others.” After marrying Yang Kang, she works with him to use their Yi embroidery skills to help the villagers prosper. They unexpectedly discover a centuries-old secret about Yi shamanic rites buried beneath Mixiba Village. Chang Xian accidentally breaks an ancient curse through the patterns in her embroidery, drawing the attention of all sides. As she protects her home, she gradually uncovers the truth behind her loss of voice, and ultimately makes a momentous choice between love and duty. My new work is here! Come read it on Tomato Novel.
