The Record of a Heart’s Inquiries Without Trace

In an age when martial arts are in decline and the imperial court is rife with infighting, a bloodstained secret order bearing a golden lotus draws the young leader of the martial world, Xue Baiwei, into a startling plot spanning both the jianghu and imperial power. He is the disciple of the legendary Gu Qingxian, A Thousand Shadows of Bilu, and has mastered the peerless No-Form Heart Sutra. When his sword is drawn, it conjures a thousand shifting forms. Yet when he points his blade at the heights of the Forbidden City, he faces not only enemies lying in wait, but also a maze of secrets surrounding his birth. Why does the master of the Golden Lotus, seated beside the imperial throne, have handwriting identical to that of his late father? And what unspoken secret lies in the gentle eyes of the childhood friend who is also a healer? His former best friend now wears the uniform of the Golden Lotus Guard, while the former Demon Cult Saintess takes a lethal blow for him. When the Intent of the Untraced Sword meets the Imperial Storm, and the code of the jianghu collides with the schemes of an emperor, Xue Baiwei finally understands that a true strongman must do more than cut down the enemy before him: he must also have the courage to face the fog within his own heart. This is an epic of a martial hero searching his heart through the way of the sword. Watch as his blade’s cold light shines across nineteen provinces and, amid a whirlpool of conspiracy and betrayal, he uncovers the way of the Untraced Sword and writes his own legend of self-discovery.
