Flowerfall Valley of Women

Beneath the Yellow Crane Tower, a crowd had gathered to watch. They were a bunch of idle men, all there to see a man torment a woman. The Yellow Crane Tower was a grand building, with private rooms upstairs. Twelve men sat in one of them, so pleased and amused with themselves that they could hardly wait for the good show about to begin. Qian Buduo owned more than thirty women, each a beauty, all bought with the vast sums of money he had spent. But one woman had secretly been seeing another man. She wanted to escape, and the two of them had already fled more than three hundred li. At the time, Qian Buduo was holding a woman in his arms. He said only one thing: “Bring her back in one piece.”
