The Doomsday Funeral Master

In the parallel world of 2035, humanity successfully fends off the impact of an extinction-level asteroid, and the whole world celebrates. But victory comes at an unknown cost. Radioactive dust from the nuclear blasts and alien viruses carried by the meteorite descend upon the earth with a global acid rain. A terrifying plague far deadlier than the flu quietly breaks out, rapidly turning the infected into bloodthirsty, feral "living corpses": zombies. Civilization collapses within days.

In Q City, Longguo, brothers Wang Lei and Wang Houxu (Monkey) run the funeral home passed down by their father. Before the apocalypse, like everyone else, they take shelter in a bomb shelter to escape the imagined "natural disaster," complaining about how hard life is and looking forward to a reunion dinner after the catastrophe.

But what awaits them is not a new beginning. It is hell. After the acid rain, the virus runs rampant, and the familiar city instantly becomes a deathtrap. The hearse that once drove clients around becomes a fortress of survival, weaving through hordes of corpses. The hands that once prepared the dead for burial must now grip weapons and fight for the living.
