Synopsis

(Not a power fantasy) A rare meteor storm appears over Longteng City. People look up in wonder, unaware that the Grim Reaper is quietly drawing near. An infection breaks out, leaving the infected with nothing but a primal craving for flesh and blood. Survivors flee the city and make their way through the mountains, where they establish their last refuge. To keep the companions behind them from being swallowed by the darkness, they do everything they can to develop a vaccine. They struggle to survive, fight to survive, and sacrifice themselves to survive. But as their investigation goes deeper, the truth they uncover is startling. All this chaos began in the human heart.

Few Apocalypse Novels Have Kept Me Reading This Long

Looking for something similar to "Doomsday Escape: Don't Fall Behind!!!" It's the best post-apocalyptic survival and road-trip story I've read in years. I've spent 30 hours reading it. Highly recommend!

A Dark Horse in Apocalypse Survival: Gritty, Smart, and Highly Recommended

Looking for books similar to Black Rain 2027. This book has no cheat powers and is completely grounded. It's full of tests of human nature and social intricacies, and everything feels like it could really happen. Every character feels alive. The protagonist is low-key, humane, highly intelligent, and socially savvy. The delicate writing really holds it all together.
