I Farm with Wasteland Tech, and the Nation Takes Notice

Chen Yu, an agricultural university student, receives an anonymous package containing an ecological terrarium called “Home.”

From then on, the balcony of his dorm undergoes a dramatic transformation.

Potatoes that can stop bullets, sunflowers that neutralize nuclear contamination, vines that bear yogurt fruit… He grows all kinds of high-tech crops found only in wasteland fiction as potted plants.

He had planned to keep his research quiet and make his fortune in secret.

Then, during a livestream mishap, the “Barrier Potato” he kept for self-defense stopped a pellet from his roommate’s toy air gun. The trending topic “Agricultural University’s Tough-Guy Dorm Grows Bulletproof Potatoes” took the internet by storm.

The next day, someone knocked on the dorm door.

Outside stood a middle-aged man with a general’s insignia on his shoulder. He gave Chen Yu a crisp military salute, his expression solemn.

“Comrade Chen Yu, I’m here on behalf of the country to invite you to join Project Oasis.”

Behind him stood an entire formation of armed special forces, along with a top-secret “Class A” cooperation agreement bearing the national emblem.

Only then did Chen Yu realize that what he had planted was more than crops.

It was the only spark that could bring this planet back to life.
