I Opened a Hundred-Flavors Canteen in the City

Lin Tian is the hottest celebrity chef in the restaurant business. At the pinnacle of his career, just after winning Michelin honors, he chooses to abandon everything and return to the old apartment with its shabby terrace where he grew up.

The industry is in an uproar. Everyone thinks he’s gone mad.

Then they discover that Lin Tian has opened a mysterious private dining room in the heart of the city. There’s no menu, and he serves just one table each night. Reservations are already booked three years in advance.

They say a bankrupt tycoon tasted the innocence he’d lost when he had nothing left, and burst into tears after eating the bok choy Lin Tian had grown;

A top artist found long-dried-up inspiration in the rich soup Lin Tian made with tomatoes from his balcony;

Even a food critic renowned for his sharp tongue was won over by Lin Tian’s simplest soft-boiled egg, calling it “the taste of the soul.”

The world is desperate to uncover the secret of his success, while corporate giants and shadowy powers turn their attention to that seemingly ordinary terrace.

Lin Tian simply loosens the soil around the tomato seedlings he has just planted and smiles faintly.

No one knows that the soil his grandmother left him can grow far more than the ultimate delicacies.

At the edge of the steel jungle, he has planted an entire world of heroes and intrigue.
