Star Visit Notes: Character Experience

I was an extraterrestrial wanderer carrying a thousand years of memories. I could reach the star charts in the depths of the universe with my mind, the glands beneath my skin held the glow of my emotions, and a touch of my fingertips to a crystal let me read the pulse of life. That was, until I met her on Earth, the woman I love.

Together, we built a crystal cocoon in the laboratory. I used my mind to help her evade ambushes from alien pursuers, and she used the warmth of Earth to soothe the loneliness that had clung to me for a thousand years. Later, we had a child, and in the little one's eyes, I could even see the stardust of my homeworld.

I used to be a consciousness adrift in the universe, with nowhere to belong. Now, I want to protect this blue planet: to watch over the alien crystals in the lab, the seeds of hope blooming by the door, the warm tea my beloved hands me, and the laughter when our child calls me "Dad."

This encounter across the stars was never about finding anything. It was about giving a lonely soul a place called "home." I will protect our little family, and guard the lights of every home on this planet.
