The Alien Live-In Son-in-Law

The Quantum Matchmaking of an Alien Live-in Son-in-Law

Chen, a quantum observer from the M78 Nebula, accidentally crash-lands in Yunnan, where a young mushroom forager named A Yan swallows his energy core in one gulp. Forced to take over A Yan’s body, Chen triggers a strange phenomenon in the mushroom forest while singing for a husband at the village entrance. He is “captured” on the spot by Damei, a 28-year-old forest ranger who has never dated anyone and firmly believes the mountain god has finally sent her a glowing husband.

And so begins the “wayward” daily life of an overworked alien and a tough village girl: Chen uses his interstellar knowledge to help Damei grow mushrooms, while Damei recharges Chen with mountain songs. When the Heishui Stockade comes to steal her groom, Chen lets out a roar that unleashes a quantum storm. When his home planet sends people to hunt him down, Damei brandishes a cleaver and declares, “You want to touch my man? You’ll have to get past my mushroom cannon first!”

When quantum entanglement meets Yunnan folk songs, is this interstellar live-in marriage a scientific mishap or fate?
