Rule Keyboard: Global Instance Ladder

“Rule dungeons” are appearing all over the world. Everyday places like schools, hospitals, and shopping malls can randomly turn into man-eating prisons. Anyone who breaks the rules is “forcibly eliminated,” while those who clear a dungeon can climb the Global Ladder Rankings and exchange their rank for real-world privileges such as cash and admission to prestigious universities. Lin Xiaoman, an ordinary high school student, accidentally falls into the dungeon of Class 7, Senior Year. The blood-red rules on the classroom’s electronic screen make her blood run cold: “If you forget to say the blessing during morning reading, you are responsible for cleaning the toilets all day” (which actually means death), and “Picking up the red notebook in the hallway triggers instant death.” In this desperate situation, a twelve-key “Rule Keyboard” appears on the back of her right hand. For every 100 points of “Rule-Breaking Value” she earns, she can rewrite the original wording of one rule on the spot. 【Cafeteria Dungeon: The sweet tomato and egg stir-fry is highly poisonous? The keyboard changes the rule to “The poison lasts one second.” The teacher sneezes after eating it and is otherwise fine.】 【Playground Dungeon: Will the figure on the swing drag people into another dimension? The keyboard changes the rule to “The figure can be rescued by taking its picture,” and the school belle’s phantom turns into a glowing point that marks the way to clear the dungeon.】 【Hunters’ Invasion: The dungeon has been maliciously altered, and the book spirit kills everyone it sees? The keyboard changes the rule to “The book spirit only kills rule hunters,” turning the monsters the hunters summoned against them.】 But every time Lin Xiaoman uses the keyboard, she randomly loses a memory, ranging from what she ate for dinner last week to what her parents look like. Alongside Chen Mo, a reborn survivor carrying the bloody memories of a previous dungeon cycle, and Zhou Mingming, an NPC gradually losing his emotions, she teams up to fight her way through the dungeons and reach the top of the rankings by rewriting fate with the keyboard. At the same time, caught between recovering her memories and using the keyboard to stay alive, she uncovers the truth that the “Core of Rules” is an amalgamation of humanity’s negative emotions and faces off against dungeon hunters who plunder resources.
