Records of Anomaly Containment

In this orderly city of the future, clock repairman Gu Chuan wants nothing more than to look after his little shop and spend the rest of his life among the ticking, clattering relics of bygone days. But one unexpected “repair” leads him to “mend” a crack in reality, revealing his rare talent as a “Resonator.”

The cold, rigid Bureau of Worldline Stability and Anomaly Response comes looking for him, forcibly dragging him from his ordinary life into a bizarre world of anomalies. From a desk lamp that performs stand-up comedy, to mythical beasts that exist only in legend, to “himself” from another, tragic worldline… Gu Chuan discovers that what he has to “repair” has long since gone beyond clocks.

When the Bureau’s icy “formatting” directives clash with the warm, human stories behind the anomalies, and the “greater good” of maintaining world stability demands the sacrifice of innocent individuals, Gu Chuan is forced to choose between becoming a proper “calibrator” and protecting the humanity that must not be erased. Will this uninvited “reality repairman” become a guardian of world order, or its greatest wild card?
