Don't Touch That Anomaly

Lin Jue, a young man devoted to elevating “living off others and waiting to die” into an art form, accidentally became an “anomaly cleanup specialist,” otherwise known as a temp worker who patches up the world.

His duties include, but aren’t limited to, persuading a banyan tree not to run away from home, counseling a building with “social anxiety,” and twisting all the streetlights on an entire road back upright after they’ve turned upside down.

He takes jobs through an app called World Patch. The pay is meager, and there are no benefits. Lin Jue’s dream is simple: save enough to buy a small house, then lie flat until the end of the universe.

But when he discovers that some unseen hand seems to be maliciously rewriting the world’s source code behind these seemingly random “world bugs,” his work motto, “If the money’s right, anything’s doable,” starts to waver.

A cosmic temp who only wants to take the money and leave, an absurd world on the verge of collapse, and a hilarious adventure about KPIs and saving the world: it all starts here.

“Wait... save the world? That’ll cost extra!”, Lin Jue.
