Psychic Power Out of Control: The Report

As the ace of the National Bureau of Anomalous Affairs and Strategic Support, Shen Zhuo has only one rule for life: clock out on time and never work overtime. Dealing with talking manhole covers, comforting a dream-eating tapir with social anxiety, mediating neighborhood disputes between centaurs and unicorns... That’s the whole job, until the world’s psychic systems begin to collapse.

Rifts spiral out of control, S-rank anomalies go “streaking” down the streets, and even the steamed buns in headquarters’ cafeteria start pondering philosophical questions. The once-laid-back master of slacking is forced to team up with an overenthusiastic rookie who keeps saying, “We’re the last line of defense protecting the world,” and embark on a “mandatory business trip” to save the world.

This is the story of how the strongest agent, in a new era, battles eccentric colleagues and bureaucracy while saving the world, albeit very reluctantly. Warning: Do not imitate the protagonist at work. You are responsible for the consequences.
