President Gu! Wen Ruanuan Is Sabotaging Things Again

Wen Ruanuan’s name is as soft as cotton candy, but her personality is as tough as a little firecracker wrapped in sugar. She’ll barge into a top-floor meeting at the Gu Group to grab a “limited-edition cat bed” for a stray cat, mistake CEO Gu Yanzhi’s annual strategy report for a “cat bed brochure,” and point to its profit figures in front of everyone, saying, “Those numbers aren’t even as high as the number of mice my cat catches.” While job hunting, she accidentally wanders into Gu Yanzhi’s private office. To prove she can “handle pressure,” she folds a paper boat out of President Gu’s fountain pen paper and says, “Even if the company sinks, I can row everyone to shore.” And yet Gu Yanzhi, the “icy CEO” who is used to everyone doing as they’re told, finds his heart thrown into disarray by this “strong-willed little white flower” and her ridiculous antics. She stuffs cotton into his designer shoes to turn them into a “bed for stray dogs,” and instead of getting mad, he secretly buys another pair. She mistakes a business partner for a “con artist” and kicks him out, so Gu Yanzhi helps cover for her, saying, “My assistant’s judgment is more reliable than any contract.” From “undermining him in the meeting room” to “trading barbs in the office,” from “mistaking his black card for a transit card” to “trading handmade candy for his limited-edition fountain pen,” every bit of trouble Wen Ruanuan causes becomes a “sweet nuisance” on Gu Yanzhi’s quest to win her heart. When a strong-willed little white flower meets a CEO who’s all bark and a softie at heart, a chaotic, goofy, sickeningly sweet battle of wills begins. Who will give in first? President Gu says, “I don’t mind losing, as long as I can bring Wen Ruanuan home. I’d lose as many times as it takes.”
