The Campus Heartthrob Drives the Ice-Cold Belle Crazy Every Day

Lin Xiyue, Xingmang University’s widely acclaimed “iceberg beauty,” accidentally fell into the campus fountain. When she woke up, she discovered she was stuck with a “Romance-Binding System” that only issued absurd missions. Fail one, and she would face a random humiliating punishment, such as doing the chicken dance in public or reciting love poetry in a Northeastern accent. To preserve her cool-beauty image, she was forced to approach Lu Xingci, the most “abnormal” guy on campus. He brought a parrot to class as an “auditing student,” used instant-noodle cups to grow succulents, and once spent two hours bargaining with the cafeteria lady just to get an extra braised egg. Yet he was secretly a top hacker with a mysterious family secret of his own. From being forced to team up on outrageous missions like “using Morse code to signal each other in the library” and “disguising themselves as delivery drivers to bring each other a loving lunchbox” (which was actually assembled from cafeteria leftovers), to accidentally getting caught up in the battle for the heirship of Lu Xingci’s family (his rivals included a muscular second uncle who loved wearing Lolita fashion and an aunt who kept ten call ducks as her think tank), Lin Xiyue’s “icy beauty” persona completely fell apart. She became the “comedy girl led astray by a blockhead” in the eyes of the entire school. As the two sabotaged each other and then came to the rescue, they discovered that the System’s binding was connected to an “awkward childhood promise” they had made ten years earlier
