Underworld Livestream: I Called the Living King of Hell

Meng Po is a socially anxious funeral-services major. While livestreaming a test of her equipment for her graduation thesis, she accidentally touches a family heirloom jade pendant and opens a “Netherworld Livestream.” Ghosts call in to complain that they can’t find their way home on the seventh day after death. The top donor, “Living Yama,” splashes out billions in ghost coins, while the comments are full of questions like “How far along is the reincarnation queue?” and complaints that “Meng Po’s soup is too salty.” To stay alive, she’s forced to work as an “underworld mediator”: helping a dead esports teenager erase his embarrassing past, finding an unnamed comrade’s gravestone for a veteran of the War of Resistance, and livestreaming “There’s still so much worth living for” to a girl with depression. What she doesn’t know is that her livestream is the “gateway between the Three Realms” for the Netherworld’s reforms, and that “Living Yama” is actually the Netherworld’s CEO, using her “bloodline linked to the Book of Life and Death” to fight the conservative judges. When the judges release a century-old vengeful ghost to hunt her down, and a scheme to sell “years of life in the underworld” in the mortal world comes to light, Meng Po must choose between “running away from people” and “facing life and death head-on.” Is her livestream a bridge connecting the living and the dead, or the fuse that will plunge both realms into chaos? And is the top donor who keeps posting underworld comments her savior, or another abyss waiting to swallow her whole?
