Hello, Security Guard!

Beneath his faded security uniform lies the last martial legacy of the Qingyun Sect. Lin Chen, using the alias A Chen, keeps a low profile as a guard at Boyue Mansion. Every day, he endures the residents’ dismissive “Hello, security guard!” while clutching the bronze dragon-patterned token hidden in his pocket. It is the only keepsake his master left him, and the target his family’s killers are tracking.

He puts up with the school belle Su Muyan’s friend mocking his “mindless job” and wealthy residents knocking him down and humiliating him. But when his colleague Wang Pangzi is bullied, Lin Chen finally shows what he can do. He grips his opponent’s ankle and leaves him in agony, kneeling on the ground. No one knows that this guard, who even handles packages with care, can knock out thugs with three punches or drive martial artists back with the Qingyun Sect’s Flowing Cloud Palm.

When a traitor from the Black Crow Society comes looking for him and clues to his master’s whereabouts emerge, Lin Chen stops hiding. Beneath the streetlight outside the guard booth, he tightens his grip on the bronze dragon-patterned token. “If you want to hurt the people I protect, you’ll have to get past these fists first.” From then on, Boyue Mansion’s “ordinary guard” becomes the hidden dragon no one in the city’s underworld dares provoke.
