Livestreaming to the World: I Save the Apocalypse by Scavenging Trash

In 2149, the “Resource Depletion Apocalypse” arrives. Abandoned trash covers 99% of the world's land, and humanity huddles in the only twelve remaining “Iron Fortresses,” scraping by on rationed synthetic food.

Just as everyone believes civilization is about to end, a global “Apocalypse Survival Livestream” suddenly pops up on everyone's screens. On camera, Lin Ye has just been kicked out of a fortress's garbage dump. He crouches among mountains of scrap metal and casually picks up a rusty piece of iron.

[Recoverable “Star Core Fragment” detected. Convert it into Level One Energy, enough to sustain 10 people for one week]

The livestream chat explodes: “Is this special effects? Is he crazy? You can trade garbage for energy?”

Lin Ye then picks up a broken plastic bottle, and the System speaks again: [“Mutant plant seed” detected. Cultivate it to produce uncontaminated fruits and vegetables]

While the elites inside the Iron Fortresses are still fighting over half a slice of synthetic bread, Lin Ye has used the “garbage” he picked up to build an abandoned-zone greenhouse that purifies the air automatically, alloy houses that can withstand sandstorms, and even unearthed the “Old World Technology Vault,” forgotten for a hundred years.

Later, when alien warships descend, humanity finally realizes that Lin Ye hasn't been collecting garbage. He's been gathering the last hope of civilization. And the livestream everyone once mocked has long since become a “record of humanity's salvation,” watched by the entire universe.
