After the Whole Internet Reviled Me, I Tore Down the World's Facade

In 2077, “Global Survival Livestream” suddenly appeared on every human terminal. One million randomly selected “challengers” were dropped into an apocalyptic wasteland crawling with mutated beasts and radiation. Billions watched, mocked, and bet on their every desperate moment. Lin Ye was one of them, labeled a “useless rich kid” and given nothing but a rusty kitchen knife from the start.

At first, viewers laughed as he scrambled up a tree to escape wild dogs, mocked him for failing to get even an expired can of food, and cursed him for “wasting a spot and resources.” But when Lin Ye split the skull of a Tier 3 mutated beast with his kitchen knife, grew out-of-season vegetables in a radiation zone, and even unearthed a technological core from a prehistoric civilization in the ruins, the entire internet fell silent.

What drove the world madder still was the “truth about the wasteland” Lin Ye accidentally exposed on his livestream: the creatures called “mutated beasts” were failed products of human genetic experiments; the so-called “apocalypse” was a hoax manufactured by the ruling elite to select slaves; and the “safe zones” everyone relied on were nothing but giant cages built to keep them penned in.

When Lin Ye led tens of millions of awakened fans from his livestream, carrying the spark of civilization, toward the gates of the safe zone, he realized that this survival game had never been about staying alive. It was about overthrowing an entire world built on lies. “From today on, it’s freedom or we all go down together.”
