She claims to be there for research, but hides a powerful desire for control and secrets of her own. In the name of science, she tries to master forces she cannot understand, growing ever more obsessive and dangerous. On the edge of town, the abandoned Edgewater Asylum radiates an ancient, ominous presence. One terrifying incident after another befalls the residents, while evil whispers echo through the darkness. Rain discovers that Shirley is identical to the mysterious woman in his dreams, and the mark in his palm reacts violently to her. She herself is key to the source of the evil.
