The Bloodstained Wardrobe

“Want to know where she went? Open the bedroom closet at midnight tonight.” On the seventh day of his wife Lin Wei's disappearance, Rain Kaufman received this unsigned letter. As the clock struck midnight, he pulled the closet door open with trembling hands. His wife was nowhere inside. Only her favorite lake-blue dress hung there, their wedding rings pinned coldly to its collar. Beneath the hem, warm, dark-red blood dripped steadily, one drop at a time, beating out a maddening rhythm in the deathly silent bedroom. With the blood came a chilling, uncanny whisper: “Do you like… this answer?” This was only the first glimpse into an abyss of despair. From then on, Rain's life was torn apart. The closet was no longer just a piece of furniture. It had become an eerie passage, a point of contact with an unknown terror. More “gifts” began to appear, pointing to the shattered past of Lin Wei, and to the secrets Rain himself had tried to bury. The police suspected him, and his friends and family distanced themselves. Only the “thing” hiding in the dark seemed to be everywhere, guiding him with bloody clues and playing a carefully orchestrated game of cat and mouse. Behind every one of Lin Wei's belongings lurked a twisted truth. Each midnight, the closet might reveal a new scene of horror. Before this increasingly uncontrollable nightmare devours him completely, Rain must uncover where the letter came from, what is wrong with the closet, and the spine-chilling truth behind his wife's disappearance. But he soon realizes that what he must face may be far more than a simple killer. It may be something older, greedier, and far beyond his understanding
