Moonlight in My Palm: The Soldier King Needs Me to Sing Him to Sleep Every Night

Su Wan is a figurine sculptor who lives immersed in the worlds she creates. Her life is simple and orderly, until a man named Lu Zheng barges into it. He's her new housemate: tall, quiet, and with an abyss in his eyes she can't understand. At first, they can't stand each other. He dislikes her nocturnal lifestyle, while she is wary of the hard, military bearing he carries everywhere.

One day, by chance, she discovers his secret: he wakes from nightmares in the middle of the night. This man, seemingly unbreakable to everyone else, once served in a peacekeeping force and bears the scars of war, both physical and psychological (PTSD). She begins to approach him in her own clumsy way: with a bowl of hot soup, quiet company, and a tiny handmade toy soldier filled with hope.

Her world becomes a harbor where he can temporarily escape the smoke of battle. In turn, his sense of duty and awkward tenderness slowly draw her out of her closed-off creative world and show her the warmth and bustle of everyday life. This is a story of healing and being healed. They are the moonlight in each other's palms, illuminating one another in the darkness and using love to piece their shattered souls back together. Its strengths lie in its delicate psychological portrayal and the way mutual salvation unfolds through everyday details. The emotional tension builds gradually, without melodramatic misunderstandings, offering instead the tender story of two ordinary people healing the wounds of war through love.
