Spring Embroidery and Blades

Su Wanshuang, the orphaned daughter of the Marquis of Jingbei, drifts through the martial world. Hiding her identity, she earns a living as an embroiderer in Yunqi Town. Her family’s half-volume of the Cold Plum Saber Manual and a pair of silver lockets shaped like intertwined lotuses are the only clues she has to her past. With delicate embroidery, she mends the bonds between neighbors; with her unpracticed swordsmanship, she protects the peace of the town. As she plants medicinal herbs, opens an embroidery shop, and goes about her daily life, she gradually grows close to Shen Yan, a reclusive physician and artisan. When factions from across the martial world descend upon the town, drawn by rumors of the “Jingbei Secret Key,” she is torn between protecting the town and seeking the truth. In the end, through the art of “hiding a blade in an embroidered heart,” she uncovers the old case that saw loyal subjects falsely accused twenty years ago, and finds a world of her own in the ordinary rhythms of life.
