Scarlet Eyes and Cherry Blossoms

Red Eyes and Cherry Blossoms tells the story of Haoren, the abandoned prince of the Tsukimoto Empire, who has rare red eyes and asthma. He drifts to China and assumes the name Xu Ren. After his adoptive father is brutally murdered, his personal vendetta becomes intertwined with the enmity between nations. He joins the underground party and takes the codename “Demon’s Son,” becoming a phantom agent amid the flames of war. His brother, Prince Huairen, is a military elite who believes in invading China. Though they are brothers, they follow different paths on the battlefield. From the spy-ridden streets of Jingang to the icy bloodshed of northern Goryeo, his red eyes reflect a shattered land. In the end, he gives his life to burn away the military’s delusions, leaving behind only a loyal spirit to help forge a monument to peace.
