Blood Stains the Palace Walls in Spring

Su Wanzhao is a commoner who cultivates spirit plants. After breeding the “Blood Moon Orchid,” which can counter vampires’ ability to heal, she is selected to enter the Great Qi imperial palace and given the title of Noble Lady. On the night she enters the palace, I witness Consort Mu Rongxue drinking a palace maid’s blood. That is when I discover that deep within the palace lurks a vampire clan called the “Bloodshadows,” who feed on imperial blood and plot to seize the throne. Because of the “Blood Moon Orchid,” I become a thorn in the Bloodshadows’ side, while the emperor treats me as a pawn in his fight against them. To survive, I have no choice but to get caught up in the harem’s power struggles: withstand the Empress’s oppression, the Consort’s schemes, and the other consorts’ machinations, all while keeping the secret of the “Blood Moon Orchid” hidden. I use the emperor’s favor to gain power while staying wary of his suspicions, and join forces with the ill-fated Sixth Prince, Xiao Jingheng, who can sense the presence of vampires, to investigate the Bloodshadows’ lair. Along the way, I discover that I am a Bloodshadow princess, with my bloodline sealed by my master to protect me. Faced with a choice between family and justice, I take humanity’s side, destroy the Bloodshadows’ lair, become empress, and protect the peace of Great Qi.
