The Demon Lord Must Keep Trying to Be More Evil

【Otherworld + Demon King + everyone overthinking things + mostly everyday life + unexpected cuteness + fun + lighthearted】 What do you do when you transmigrate into the body of a Demon King with no powers and a hero coming to defeat you? Mo Hua says, “Don’t panic. As long as you don’t lose your way, there are always more solutions than problems.” He pulls out the only golden finger he brought with him: a law-and-philosophy course reference book called The Code. He gives it a heartfelt kiss, then announces to all the demon officials: “This is my Dark Scripture: The Ultimate Indifferent Edition!” From then on, the Demon Realm goes completely off the rails. “According to Book Seven of the Scripture, liability for torts, you damaged the gate to my Demon King’s castle, Hero. Pay for the repairs.” “According to Book Twelve of the Scripture, Your Highness, your political marriage to the princess of the neighboring kingdom is a classic case of ‘the evil of emotional bondage.’ Well done!” Watching the demons treat the Dark Scripture as holy writ and interpret it as “the evil of order,” “the evil of economics,” and “the evil of time-based punishment,” Mo Hua can only think: I just wanted to lie flat. Why do you all have to force me to become an evil god? And you, the hero whose worldview is in tatters, just hear me out. I really am not trying to destroy the world! Sigh. When will I, the Demon King, finally get to lie flat?
