My Readers Can't Possibly All Be by My Side

[Light Novel] Asagiri Shizuka's life motto is:

“Don't look at me. Don't seek me out. Don't talk to me.”

Unfortunately, as the popular light novel author who writes under the pen name “Semishigure,” he clearly underestimated how resourceful his readers could be.

One day, his quiet-as-a-book desk mate, Tsukimisato Hotaru, passed him a note:

“Sensei, next time you kill me off, remember to buy me yakisoba bread first.”

After that, his editor, his number-one fan, the student council president, and another girl who shouldn't know the truth all barged into his life one after another. Some nagged him for manuscripts, some asked for autographs, some kept trouble away from him, and someone wanted to know: Why could an author who made his characters speak their minds only play dead whenever he was in the real world?

Asagiri Shizuka just wanted to know:

My readers can't all be right here beside me, can they?
