Urban Supernatural: The Story of a Girl and the Stars

[Urban] + [Supernatural] + [Redemption] + [Everyday Life] + [Heartwarming] + [Light Novel] + [Plot-Driven] + [Love Triangle Chaos]

This is a genuinely slow-burn story at first. The early chapters lay the groundwork, and the later plot is already written. The first few chapters just aren’t great, ahhh. If you don’t like them, you can skip straight to the Akane part. Akane is a deranged hunter whose life’s purpose is to capture and torture magical girls. There’s also a socially anxious girl pretending to be a magical girl, and an impossibly righteous protagonist who was saved by her.

Do you believe in urban legends?

In Xinghai City, rumors from the internet and fears shared by the masses can take shape as real beings.

Yun Lu traded four lives for the life of an entire city.

How did people thank her?

They made up a weapon online specifically designed to kill her, and named it “Akane.”

Akane exists for one reason: to shoot through Yun Lu’s heart at the happiest moment of her life.

There may be no more than a midnight phone call between ordinary life and the inexplicable.

And the phone is already ringing.

“Your roommate might not be your roommate anymore.”

“Everyone will forget. You will too.”

A mysterious girl who calls herself a magical girl, an empty performance, and dangerous oddities.

The city is falling, and the girls are vanishing.

This is a lighthearted, heartwarming story of love and redemption.

“When asked why she wanted to be a magical girl, Yun Lu expressionlessly unwrapped a piece of chocolate and chewed it with her mouth full. ‘It’s just a role I’m playing.’”

“The rules of this world are simple: whatever you believe is real.”

“The hunter’s greatest tragedy isn’t failing to catch their prey. It’s chasing them until they realize they need their prey to stay alive.”
