Traditional Chinese Cuisine

In a futuristic city, processed foods are everywhere, and traditional cooking is considered backward. After Su Wan is fired from a high-end restaurant for sticking to her “inefficient” approach to handmade cooking, she sets up a stall in an alley to make a living, selling traditional family recipes prepared using “ancient methods.” Her pure, unadulterated cooking catches the attention of Lu Chen, the CEO of a leading food technology conglomerate, who is tired of synthetic food and is “undercover” on an inspection tour. Disguised as an ordinary office worker, Lu Chen becomes a regular customer, moved by the warmth in Su Wan’s food and her own resilience. The story follows Su Wan as she uses one simple yet astonishing dish after another to win over diners, get face-slapping revenge on former colleagues and rivals who looked down on her, and, with Lu Chen’s secret help, rise from a humble street vendor to the culinary queen of a new era. In the end, she finds love, too.
