The Final Three Years

In the future Great Yan Dynasty, Shen Qingtang is stripped of her title as empress and banished to the Cold Palace for “colluding with the enemy.” In truth, Consort Shu framed her. Shen Qingtang and Emperor Yan Zhaoheng were married through a family pact. They gradually fell in love, but the struggle for imperial power and a series of misunderstandings drove them apart. During her three years in the Cold Palace, she conveys her feelings through embroidery, while he struggles between his imperial duties and his love for her, secretly keeping watch over her. Consort Shu lays another trap, deepening their misunderstanding. Only when Shen Qingtang is on the brink of death does Yan Zhaoheng uncover the truth, but he never gets to see her one last time. After her death, he posthumously names her Empress Yuanzhao and spends the rest of his life within the palace walls, keeping her embroidery close and living with lifelong regret.
