Strange Tales of Yinhuai Town

In Yinhuai Town, the old locust tree is both the village’s treasure and the source of its terrifying legends. They say an ancient evil is sealed beneath it, and that every hundred years the seal weakens, allowing malevolent forces to wreak havoc in the human world. The townspeople have guarded the seal for generations, unaware that danger is quietly drawing near.

The young hunter Chen Yu has been living an ordinary life, until an upheaval pulls him into a whirlpool of strange events. One day, the village’s elderly clan chief suddenly dies a gruesome death, with a bizarre, snake-shaped bloodstain on his chest. While investigating, Chen Yu discovers that the clan chief had secretly been searching for a bone flute covered in runes. Legend has it that playing the flute can control people’s minds and awaken the sealed evil.

Meanwhile, the mysterious Taoist Su Ran and Feng Shui master Zhang arrive in town. They bring shocking news: the seal is about to fail, and Yinhuai Town is in grave danger. The three join forces to uncover the truth and discover that the bone flute is connected to the evil’s followers, who are bent on awakening it and ruling the world.

As their investigation deepens, they face one crisis after another. The evil’s followers lay traps and send manipulated walking corpses and bizarre monsters to stop them. During a fierce battle, Chen Yu and the others discover that cracks have appeared in the old locust tree’s seal, and the evil’s power is pouring out. To repair the seal, they follow clues from ancient texts to find the main root of the town’s guardian wood, then draw a formation using the blood of their closest kin and cinnabar.
