The Moment the Wind Stirs the Duckweed

In Linzhou, an ancient city in the south, rare-book restorer Su Qingyuan unexpectedly crosses paths with Lu Shiyan, an architectural designer overseeing the renovation of the old quarter. She is determined to protect the workshop that holds her childhood memories and her grandmother's dying wish; he bears the responsibility of creating new spaces. Their opposing views at first gradually give way as they work together time and again to make the old and new coexist.

Su Qingyuan searches old books for the workshop's historical significance, while Lu Shiyan evolves from a designer focused solely on efficiency into someone who listens to the stories told by old buildings. They pore over records in the library, rescue rare books on a stormy night, and open up about their vulnerabilities amid disagreements. Between Linzhou's blue-stone streets and its modern construction sites, they slowly draw closer.

Faced with pressure from investors, family misunderstandings, and a brief separation, they always let love be their shield. Su Qingyuan's dedication to the craft of book restoration protects their relationship, while Lu Shiyan's warm approach to architectural design carries his promises. In the end, they not only preserve the scent of ink in the renovated old quarter, but also let the first faint stirrings of their meeting blossom, through the trials of time, into a love that will last a lifetime.
