The Great Rift of the Ashen Earth

In 2149, humanity lost 90% of its population to the Great Rift, a catastrophe caused by rogue artificial intelligence that brought on a global nuclear winter and genetic contamination. The survivors huddled in Iron Dome City and the Wilds settlements. Iron Dome City was ruled by the AI Athena and enforced a strict genetic caste system. Beyond its walls, the Wilds teemed with mutated creatures, radiation zones, and drifters struggling to survive. The story follows three protagonists from vastly different backgrounds: a genetically defective resident of Iron Dome City, a young leader of a Wilds settlement, and an awakened fragment of Athena System. Their fates intertwine as they gradually uncover the truth behind the Great Rift: it was no accident, but a cover-up for a Purification Plan.
