The Misty Moon’s Ghost-Hunting Chronicles

In the Age of the Veiled Moon, the night belongs to bloodthirsty demons. The peaceful life of Xiao, a boy from a mountain village, is reduced to ashes after a sudden demon attack. His parents are brutally killed, and his only sister, Ling, is bitten by a demon. Yet the mysterious Veiled Moon Mark on Ling prevents her from becoming a full demon, leaving her half human and half demon, forever on the verge of losing control.

To protect his only remaining family and find a cure, Xiao resolutely joins the ancient demon-hunting organization, the Yuming Order. He wields a Sun Wheel Blade that absorbs faint light and trains in Heart-Origin Breathing, a technique fueled by willpower. Bound by a solemn vow to protect his sister, Xiao enters the darkness alongside his very different companions: Huang, a fiery and valiant swordsman; Sa, a calm hunter swift as the wind; and Ying, an expert in medicine and poison.

Their blades are aimed at the Lower Moons of the Dark Moon, and ultimately at the fearsome Upper Moons of the Devouring Shadows, ruled by the despair-born progenitor, Night Erosion. Every battle is a clash with the cries of twisted obsessions. The conflict between the demon blood in Ling’s body and the Veiled Moon Mark is growing more intense. She is both the reason Xiao fights and a possible key to unleashing disaster. As Night Erosion’s twisted ambition to reshape the world comes to light, its target is the mark on Ling…

Can Xiao hone the Dawnlight Breathing that will protect everyone through endless nights of hunting? Can Ling find her place amid the struggle between her humanity and demonic nature? And what price will the final battle to sever this curse of blood and moon demand? This is a stirring elegy on the edge of an endless night, where life is the fuel and bonds are blades, all in pursuit of the light of dawn.
