The Sinful Sea Lantern

In a world consumed by the Sea of Sin, soul lamps are the only source of light and protection. Cruelly, only the most extreme malice can kindle the brightest flames, while the faintest glimmer of goodwill vanishes in an instant. Jin Yu, the last descendant of an ancient clan of “Lampkeepers,” struggles to survive in this inverted purgatory, bearing the burden of his clan’s destruction and its ancestral vow to protect the peace of the dead.

For the sake of revenge and survival, Jin Yu is forced to betray his beliefs and shed blood, gathering and igniting “Karmic Sin Soul Lamps” forged from evil and suffering. Each time he uses one, its icy, wicked flames sear his conscience. Yet the mysterious ancient lamp passed down through his family responds faintly in the darkness, as if it holds the key to changing everything.

He ventures deep into the sinful city of Sinsea, navigating among cunning lamp merchants who sell soul lamps, the fanatical “Lamp-Burning Cult” that seeks power, and the wretched beings refined into living lamp slaves. As he pursues his enemies and the truth behind his clan’s destruction, Jin Yu uncovers a forbidden secret about the origin of the Sea of Sin: a startling revelation concerning the collapse of the ancient “Karmic Scales,” and the Lamp-Burning Cult’s ultimate conspiracy to rule the darkness.

When Jin Yu finally stands before the “Source of the Sea of Sin,” which devours all things, he faces a choice that threatens to tear his soul apart: destroy the source and condemn the billions who depend on soul lamps? Take control of the Sea of Sin and become the new master of darkness? Or burn away his very being, using that faint ancient lamp as a wick, and stake everything on a slim hope of reversing the rules that turn good and evil upside down, lighting a different spark in a world of despair?

On the boundless shores of the Sea of Sin, can a lamp in one's heart illuminate eternal darkness?
