The Green Mountain Has a Spirit: An Esper Girl’s Survival in Ancient Times

Lin Wei, a biology graduate student, is collecting specimens when a mysterious tree hollow in an ancient tree behind the mountain pulls her into another world. She unexpectedly awakens a ten-cubic-meter storage space and an ability to communicate with plants. When she wakes in an unfamiliar ancient forest, she must face a completely unknown environment and rely on modern knowledge and her abilities to survive in the fictional Great Qi Dynasty.

A city girl with nothing but theoretical knowledge suddenly becomes an orphaned outsider in Qingshan Village, with a humble mud-brick house as her only shelter. Fortunately, modern supplies in her storage space and her plant affinity become her greatest assets. She can speed up the growth of vegetables, bringing barren soil back to life; sense the condition of plants and avoid poisonous traps; and store supplies in her space to build a line of defense for her survival.

The simple villagers offer her warmth. Wang Daniu’s honest nature and Aunt Zhang’s kindness make her feel at home in this other world, but the bullying of Li, the village landlord, hangs over them like a dark cloud. When Old Zhao is pressured by the landlord’s servants to pay his rent, Lin Wei steps in, using her ability to make vines trip the thugs and driving off the arrogant men with a “spell.” To protect the villagers, she plants a barrier of thorny vines at the village entrance, foils Li’s attempts at revenge time and again, and becomes known throughout Qingshan Village as a “bringer of good fortune.”

From improving crops to raise yields to using modern medicine to treat the sick, Lin Wei gradually adapts to this era. She plants vegetable fields and teaches farming techniques, using her knowledge and abilities to improve village life, but her unusual powers also attract more unknown challenges. Could the mysterious tree hollow take her back to the modern world?
