Echoes of the Sea of Sand: The Fall of the Throne

When a disaster known as the “Silence” devours the world's water supply, the planet becomes an endless sea of sand. The survivors huddle beneath towering “Dew Towers,” where the distribution of every drop of water rigidly defines the class system: the elite at the top live in luxury, while the poor at the bottom go thirsty. Leia Chen, a girl from the lowest tier, was born with the forbidden gift of hearing the shifting sands. From the windblown dunes, she can discern echoes of buried civilizations and the cries of history. To find her brother, who was conscripted to search the deadly desert for a legendary oasis and never returned, she resolutely leaves the safety of the walls and ventures into the perilous wasteland. The claws of desert beasts, pursuit by the tower's powerful elite, and a shocking conspiracy buried beneath the yellow sands for a hundred years: Leia's powers awaken through one life-or-death trial after another. When the shifting sands begin to reveal to her that the “Silence” was no natural disaster, she will use their unique echoes to shake the foundations of power and make the silent world resound with a song of rebellion and hope!
