A Farm Boy’s Sign-In Journey

Lin Mo, a corporate drone who loses his job just after graduating, unexpectedly transmigrates to Liuxi Village in Qingzhou Prefecture, Great Jing, and becomes a penniless boy whose parents are both dead. As he frets over his dilapidated house and empty water jar, the “Happy Life Sign-In System” suddenly binds to him, setting him on the path to turning his life around in ancient times.

A sign-in in the bedroom gets him coarse grain and copper coins, while the beginner’s gift pack provides an iron pot, a quilt, and vegetable seeds. Signing in in the courtyard earns him a well and stone paving slabs, solving his problems with drinking water and getting around. The moment he breaks ground on a vegetable patch, he receives premium fertilizer and growth-accelerating liquid, turning barren soil into fertile land. Signing in at an agricultural exchange brings high-yield seeds, improved farm tools, and the county magistrate’s favor... Each day’s sign-in brings another surprise. From having enough to eat and wear to living in comfort, the System always provides just the help he needs at the crucial moment.

With the basic cooking skills granted by the System, he turns coarse grain into a variety of tasty dishes. Using growth-accelerating liquid and premium seeds, he grows crisp, plump vegetables that become a hot commodity at the market. With the silver and cloth he gets from signing in, he renovates his rundown house and starts raising chickens, ducks, cattle, and sheep. Kindhearted Auntie Wang, upright village head Li, and his simple, honest neighbors make him feel at home. His impressive showing at the agricultural exchange also puts him on the map in the county.

From being lost and helpless to taking charge of his life, Lin Mo combines the System’s rewards with modern know-how, mastering farming, livestock breeding, and every aspect of improving his living conditions. He not only fills his belly and earns money, but also finds a sense of belonging in this unfamiliar era. With fresh vegetables covering the table, chickens and ducks scurrying around the courtyard, and the aroma of milk mingling with smoke from the kitchen, the once-dilapidated little courtyard has become a happy home full of everyday warmth.
