Heaven's Detective: The Book of Three Lives

Si Jing Ling, the Divine Lord of the Mirror, once presided over the laws of Heaven and judged unsolved cases spanning the ages at the Tianshu Court. During a shocking conspiracy that swept through the Immortal Realm, she was betrayed by those closest to her. Her divine nature shattered, and her soul sank into oblivion.

She thought she would remain in darkness forever, but a thread of undying resolve drew her back to life in the mortal realm, in a dynasty called Dayong. This time, she became Su Jingling, the abandoned good-for-nothing legitimate daughter of the Marquis of An’s household. Struck by a strange poison and with her spiritual meridians destroyed, she was regarded by her family as a disgrace, banished to a remote courtyard, and left to die in an “accident.”

When the Divine Lord’s soul awakens in a mortal body, her former divine powers are gone. All that remains, branded deep in her soul, is her keen insight and instinct to seek the truth. More astonishing still, she has gained a new divine ability: “Echoes of Receding Light.” By touching objects connected to a death, she can briefly turn back time and witness shattered fragments of the past with her own eyes.
