When Objects Whisper

Wen Shi is an antique restorer who lives in seclusion. He was born with a curse: whenever he touches an object, he hears an echo of its deepest and most intense memory. The ability torments him, leaving him to seek brief moments of peace among dust-covered relics and in silence. Then one day, a cracked ancient inkstone is brought to his shop. The violent memories within nearly tear his mind apart. As he teeters on the brink of collapse, a mysterious woman named Ling Yue comes to see him. She claims to be a member of the Silent Court, an organization that deals with “object grudges,” and says the inkstone is merely one fragment of an ancient artifact called the Ruins of Time. Now, shards filled with powerful resentment are scattered across the world, taking the form of various objects and attracting and creating monsters known as “grudge spirits.” Wen Shi’s ability is the only key to finding them. One longs for an ordinary life, while the other bears the burden of fate. Forced to become partners, they travel through the neon lights and shadows of the city, listening to the wails and whispers of objects as they embark on a dangerous journey to recover the lost fragments and subdue grudge spirits that have haunted the world for millennia.
