The Trail of Two Souls

A modern female detective dies and transmigrates into Su Wan, a lowly-born daughter of the Grand Secretariat household in the Great Sheng dynasty, where she is constantly bullied. As she uses modern thinking to unravel the intrigues of the inner household, she discovers that the serial killer she once hunted has transmigrated here too and is continuing his murders. Forced to marry into Prince Jing's residence, she relies on her criminal-investigation skills and a split personality to navigate a conspiracy over the succession. She also uncovers the secrets of a rift in time and space and the emperor's quest for immortality. The killer whispers from the shadows, “Can you stop me this time?”
