Brainwave Spy Atlas

Shanghai, 1942, in the dead of night. Lin Mosheng, a brilliant doctor recently returned from abroad, secretly completes the “Divine Listener,” hoping to expose the most deeply embedded traitor. On the night of its first test, a bloody massacre strikes the laboratory. Only Su Qing, a gravely wounded female agent of mysterious identity, survives. Fleeing for their lives, the two discover that the “demons” identified by the device’s brainwave readings are ordinary people warped by war. Worse, the Japanese have obtained the instrument’s data and plan to use it to create “patriot” assassins who feel nothing and obey absolutely. When trust becomes the most precious weapon, and the brain becomes a battlefield under surveillance, Lin Mosheng and Su Qing must struggle to expose the truth, destroy the deadly weapon, and save the innocent people marked by the device. A deadly espionage battle over brainwaves, human nature, and the true nature of war unfolds on the edge of an abyss of suspicion.
