Resetting the Deadly Loop

In 2029, Lu Chen, a criminal investigator in Haiyuan City, is consumed by guilt after failing to stop his beloved friend and partner, Chen Feng, from being murdered in an act of revenge. Popular designer Lin Xia lost both her legs and her career in a car accident a year ago. A mysterious phone call brings them together with eight other strangers from all walks of life at the Time Reversal Foundation. Its host, Su Li, promises them a chance to “reset their fate.”

The ten return to 2028, each driven by their own obsession: Lu Chen saves Chen Feng, Lin Xia avoids the accident, a security guard wins the lottery, and an examinee memorizes the answers... Fate seems within reach. But just one week after their return, the first person to reset their fate dies under mysterious and bizarre circumstances. Then a second, then a third... One after another, the participants suffer “accidents,” as though Death itself is calling their names.

Working together, Lu Chen and Lin Xia investigate and discover that each victim received an anonymous “warning” before dying: a black card bearing a distorted clock. Even more terrifying, they uncover deadly connections between them that had been hidden from view. A vast web, carefully spun by the Foundation across time and space, begins to emerge. This so-called “random reset” is actually an invitation to a death game, and the mastermind is hiding among them.

Under the shadow of a time loop, Lu Chen and Lin Xia must tear through the lies and find the killer before “correction” takes effect, reversing a deadly cycle in which no one is meant to survive.
