Determined to clear her name and expose Lin Shen's scheme to funnel benefits to a junior employee, she goes undercover as an intern at the luxury goods group where he works. Using her expert eye for the genetic makeup of beauty products and her razor-sharp marketing strategies, she turns her department around and gradually rises to become brand director. As she uses the ruthless instincts of the workplace to strike back at her rivals, she wrestles with the fear that she is becoming the very kind of person she despises.
