After the Washed-Up Idol Got Into Graduate School at a Research Institute, the Whole Internet Went Wild

Physicist Ji Wu dies in a hotel from drug poisoning. As her soul leaves her body, the System inside her unleashes all its power and sends her soul into the romance novel she had been reading while slacking off at the hotel front desk. Ji Wu’s soul enters the body of a minor, cannon-fodder member of an obscure girl group, who shares her name. From the start, after being set up by a favored teammate, she nearly falls prey to a powerful man. The original Ji Wu panics and jumps out of a window on the nineteenth floor of the hotel. She narrowly escapes death by landing in a tree three stories above the ground, but her soul drifts away. It is only when Ji Wu’s soul enters her body that the original owner finally wakes up. After loading the memories, Ji Wu understands what happened and decides not to let any of the people who harmed the original owner get away with it. To protect their favored teammate, the company forces her to sign up for a variety show that seems impossible to complete: “The Celebrity Grad School Study Room.” The show brings together twelve entertainers of the same age, one for each zodiac sign, and livestreams their entire grad school entrance exam journey. Which entertainer who calls themself a top student will make it into grad school? Those who get into a standard university will receive a million yuan, those who get into a Project 211 university will receive two million, and those who get into a Project 985 university will receive three million. The company throws the original owner, a graduate of a second-tier university with a degree in physical education, into the exam just to watch her make a fool of herself. But Ji Wu has this to say: Now that I’m on the right track, I’d better dust off my old skills and get back to physics! She gets into a research institute under the Chinese Academy of Sciences in one try, leaving the entertainment industry utterly stunned. To hell with being an obscure nobody. Ji Wu is ready to turn everything upside down! For the story of Ji Wu and Chu Hexiao’s child, see “I Act Cute, You Flirt: We’ll Take Any Kind of Sack.” For their past, see “Love Whoever You Want.
