You Guys Can Show Off and Act Cool. I’ll Just Be Cute

Slice of life When actor Ji Cheng was over forty, he and his top-tier star wife, Lin Shu, welcomed a second child, a baby girl named Ji He. The news sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. The last time they caused such a stir was when Ji Cheng and Lin Shu admitted they had married young and kept their marriage secret for six years. They only announced it because, during the more than half a year Lin Shu had taken off, she had given birth to their son, Ji Yang. After their daughter was born, Ji Cheng and Lin Shu gave up their workaholic ways and half-retired to be there as she grew up. From then on, both of them saw their public images crumble. The gentle, gracious Best Actor Ji Cheng, so polished in public, became pathetically eager to please in private, all just to make his daughter smile. The aloof, haughty top-tier star Lin Shu, so cold in public, turned into a total cuddlebug at home, all so she could teach her daughter how to keep her dad in line. There are no elaborate schemes, romantic entanglements, or feuds in this story. It simply follows the warm, everyday life of their family of four. The author's new book, I Act Cute, You Get Cuddly, Whatever the Sack, We Won't Be Picky, is also a heartwarming slice-of-life story about an adorable child taking on the world.
